CF&P Foundation Prosperitas, August 2009: The Laffer Curve

CF&P Foundation Prosperitas, August 2009: The Laffer Curve.

Lots and lots and lots to digest here, the overall point is that The Laffer Curve is no joke and those Keynesian states that ignore it will continue to show lackluster or recessionary growth, while those states that embrace this basic fiscal consideration will grow.

To prove the point, a conversation about The Laffer Curve from the Center for Freedom and Prosperity is provided first, as well as an article that clearly shows this in action.  Texas is “kicking this pig” and are doing so by embracing simple economic policies that I’ve advocated for many years now:  cut taxes, cut spending, pass tort reform, ensure a “right-to-work” state, and don’t forget about Free Trade.  While Texas officials cannot take credit for NAFTA, they certainly are reaping the rewards of that trade agreement.  By passing the right “business friendly” laws in a Free Trade zone, Texas has a balanced budget, is seeing businesses and capital flock to its environs, and is avoiding this recession.

Good job Texas, we ALL need to apply what you’re doing (even our Gov, who’s really starting to tick me off).
