Canada Health Care

Crowder delivers another master piece.

Crowder and his Buddy go for a blood test for cholesterol.  They don’t have a doctor and are told it takes two to three years to get a personal doctor to be referred for the blood test.  See below:

Of course, getting into a clinic — even when it’s open — takes some time.  You have to get a primary-care physician assignment first, and that can take two to three years.  “But don’t worry,” a nurse tells Steven.  “You’re young, you have plenty of time.”  Does she know that for certain?  She doesn’t’t ask why Steven wants a blood test, after all.

She then tells him he can pay at a private clinic to get better care and the test right away.

Hope and change.
