It seems we did not learn our lesson. The bailout was rushed thru without the usual scrutiny.Any bailout should have included forfiture of pay and prosecution of the executives involved. While there is no specific law covering there should be.For years executive compensation has been excessive. If we are going to be responsible and the gov. is going to bail out then just nationalize the industry. Regulations need to be reestablished for broad industries especially banking. We have very limited means to protect ourselves from this folly( human greed). To blame one party over another is not realistic but this fits the pattern of the bush administration; scare tactics to avoid close scrutiny of legislation. Democrats don’t have a big enough majority to over ride vetos so mustrely on maverick reps.for support. It made me feel good when many Rep. were against the initial bill.It made me sick that Congress caved out of fear rather than reason.Creative bookkeeping can give any result you want.

I ALWAYS BELIEVE THAT MONEY CHANGES MANY PEOPLE. I THINK YOUR RIGHT THOSE CEO,S SHOULD BE DOING TIME NOT GETTING A BIG BONUS. IF THIS WERE JUST A COMMON MAN HE WOULD BE BEHIND BARS NOT SEEING LIGHT FOR A LONG TIME. THE LAWS WHERE PEOPLE WITH LOTS OF MONEY SEEM TO GET AWAY WITH SO MUCH BECAUSE OF THE LOOP HOLES IN OUR LAWS. WE NEED TO CHANGE THESE LAWS SO THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR CRIMES. BECAUSE I AM A CHRISTAIN THOSE PEOPLE WILL GET THEIR JUST REWARDS.
