The Stoning of Soraya M.

One of Jimmy Carter’s worst legacies still existent in the world today is the Iran he helped create. By throwing the Shah of Iran under the bus, Jimmy Carter helped FORCE his abdication and handed Iran over to the Ayatollah Khomeini, a madman and an Islamofascist. Part of the reasoning behind Carter’s decision was because of the Shah’s human rights record.

Replacing the Shah with the Ayatollah is akin to replacing the Kaiser with Hitler. By any measure, the Ayatollah and the Mullah-nation state he crafted is worse than the Shah’s Iran by an order of exponential magnitude.

The Shah’s Iran was as progressive as any will find in the Islamic world, especially at that time. While he did indeed take liberties with human rights, they were more focused on political opposition and threats to his rule, like 100% of other non-Turkey Islamic states (with the exception now of Iraq and Afghanistan thank you President Bush). In all other areas, human rights in Iran were on the uptick, especially with respect to women and their involvement in Iranian life.

Today, the women of Iran are as oppressed as Jews, Christians, and other religions in that sad country. The movie, “The Stoning of Soraya M.”, as related below, is just one example of the abortion of justice women receive in Iran and other places, like Pakistan and yes, Afghanistan.

The foreign policy of Carter, a policy supported by  Obama, has been the most detrimental of all presidents, EVER. Iran was a close friend and ally to the United States. It was a regional power, overflowing with oil, and represented an anchor of stability to the region. The loss of the Shah immediately resulted in chaos and instability in the region. Iraq invaded Iran and the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. We are to this day still dealing with the ramifications of a naive Carter foreign policy, the same naivety we see in Obama.

Read Soraya’s story or watch the film, then connect-the-dots to Carter. This woman, and many like her, might very well still be alive if an Iran ruled by the Shah and his descendent’s were still in effect, rather than Islamofascist psychopaths.
