Afghan Student Sentenced to Death

The crime?  He insulted Islam.  Posting stuff like this is starting to feel like reporting rain in Florida.

KABUL, Afghanistan —  An Afghan court on Tuesday sentenced a 23-year-old journalism student to death for distributing a paper he printed off the Internet that three judges said violated the tenets of Islam, an official said.

I have NOT seen this piece of news anywhere. I am very well emersed in the Afghan community where Afghans from around the world join in various discussions. One of the things I have noticed about Afghans in general is that they love to talk about Afghanistan..its culture..religion…people…war. Anything that has to do with AFGHANISTAN…everything…it’s goods and bads!!!

NO one has mentioned this case you speak of the 23 year old beint sentenced….no one and no forum…no blog discusses this issue AT ALL. The only thing I have to say is this has got to be false!!! Not a real story…if it is…would you please post a real article not a jist of something overheard!!!!

Well Afghan Female, Fox News (despite its conservative bent) is considered reputable by most.

BUT…..if you insist on another source does the BBC work for you?
