Civil War re-enactments, the cannons, troops…

….and slaves?  Chalk this up to incredibly poor judgement and racial insensitivity.  Slaves (whites wearing black face) were given tasks such as serving lemonade to the troops.  The kicker, the event was put on by a church.  No, not in the deep south but in progressive California.

Obviously, not everybody at the event can be deemed racist or insensitive.  Not even those pictured can be called racist.  What this does show is a degree of insensitivity.  Where is Sharpton or Jesse?  They should be all over this.

Story.
